Frequently Asked Questions
In an effort to best serve you, here are the answers to some of the top questions that we hear from clients:
How To Get Started With Reconciled Bookkeeping Services?
Our new client setup is fast, easy, and supported by our industry-leading, US-based team.
The first step in getting set up with Reconciled services is to schedule a 30-minute call with our team. Your consultant will take that time to learn as much about your business as we can. From that call, we identify a scope of work and provide a few options that meet your needs, and your budget.
Once you accept our proposal, you will be prompted to meet with our onboarding team, so they can guide you through the setup of technology, and gain access to all of the systems you currently have integrated into your business. This includes sales channels, bank e-statement portals, and anything else that would be relevant to your accounting.
Once all of the necessary information and access are gathered, we begin our regular work, and you can expect concluded financial reports at the close of each month.
How long is the initial commitment?
We believe in retaining customers because of their satisfaction, not because of legal jargon and paperwork manipulation. You retain ownership of your data, and we never hold any information hostage. We are confident that if you decide to work with our team, you will be glad to continue working with us as your business grows.
What if my needs change?
We know businesses evolve! That is why Reconciled provides scope based contracts. This way we can meet your needs today, and scale our support to keep pace with your businesses development. With Reconciled, you are taking control of today’s accounting needs, and planning for tomorrows.
We think of all of our clients as business partners, and shape our services around the evolution of the businesses we serve. Contact Reconciled for an accounting partner that is prepared to grow with you.
Will I Work With a Dedicated Bookkeeper?
Every Reconciled client receives a dedicated US-based team. These teams are groups of 3-5 Reconciled Cloud Accounting Specialists and are overseen by a Senior Accounting Manager who supervises the rotation of tasks amongst the team, guaranteeing that multiple Cloud Accounting Specialists are cross-trained in the day to day work for your business.
This helps us ensure consistency and quality even in the event of a sick day, or another unforeseen gap. You benefit from a dedicated go-to point of contact, a team that is familiar with YOU and your business, and the assurance that your accounting is in the hands of an industry-leading team of pros.
How do I know if I am ready for Bookkeeping support?
Every entrepreneur is going to have a different point where they need bookkeeping support.
In general, here are a few indicators that your business could benefit from a professional bookkeeper:
1) You’re getting ready to hire your first employee
2) Your revenue is at or near $100k/yr or more, or you anticipate revenues of $100k+ within a year
3) You are raising money through VC, Angel Investors, Private Equity, or bank loans
4) You lack visibility into your businesses financial performance or goals
5) Your current bookkeeper is struggling to deliver consistent results in a timely fashion
If any of these areas apply, or you are curious about your own unique situation, contact Reconciled or schedule a 15-minute conversation. We look for mutual partners and long term relationships. As a result, we don’t conduct high-pressure sales and will provide any advice that we have to offer, whether or not that involves our support.
Do you handle tax work at year end?
At Reconciled we have chosen to be the industry leader in bookkeeping and corporate accounting. This means that we don’t provide tax support directly, however, we are happy to work with your preferred CPA come tax season, or we would be pleased to refer you to one of the many professional CPAs that we have enjoyed working with in the past. This model makes sure that our focus doesn’t get muddled when tax deadlines get tight, and our priority is always our clients.
